– Our hotel features a vertical hydroponic garden—a production system where plant roots grow in water and substrate with a nutrient solution. This solution, combined with LED lighting, ensures optimal growth and enhanced plant quality.
– Fresh harvests are exclusively used in our restaurant dishes, making 50% of our food cleaner and more sustainable. These crops are cultivated in controlled environments free of pesticides and bacteria, contributing to a daily reduction in food waste.
– We offer a menu with local, sustainable, and seasonal items.
– Aromatic herbs from our garden include basil, mint, peppermint, rosemary, parsley, cilantro, and oregano, harvested for use in our kitchen and bar.
– Leafy green vegetables from our garden include various hydroponic lettuces, arugula, parsley, and chard, along with fruiting vegetables grown in substrates.
ENERGY AND CARBON
– We have solar panels installed that harness the sun’s energy and convert it into clean electricity, powering the entire hotel. This approach ensures a safe and sustainable reduction in emissions
WASTE REDUCTION
– Single-use plastic in guest rooms, including water bottles and bathroom amenities, has been significantly reduced.
– In our restaurant, we utilize biodegradable bags and packaging, as well as non-plastic bottles.
– Water dispensers are available throughout our facilities to minimize the use of plastic bottles annually.
BIODIVERSITY
In our commitment to preserving biodiversity in the Riviera Maya, we dedicate ourselves annually to the protection of turtle species, ensuring the care of their nests. In addition to this direct effort, we rigorously adhere to all necessary conditions to preserve the natural environment.
We comply with ecological recommendations at the federal, state, and municipal levels. These measures include solid waste separation and wastewater treatment, with the aim of minimizing any environmental impact in our surroundings. We are firmly committed to preventing long-term ecological damage, allowing us to coexist harmoniously with all species that share our environment.
Additionally, we release various species such as snakes, raccoons, and opossums, thus contributing to the preservation of the rich diversity of endemic animals in the region.
